summer stresssummer break
hopefully this summer break will be more artsy than the last one
i intend to get better over these two months and as such, i've set myself up for a perfect list of summer stresses:
1) complete a ~13-track album, pressed onto CDs for sale by the end of this summer [also available through online order via paypal]
that implies that i need to
- write more lyrics
- record them
- record my partner's lyrics
- mix, master etc etc
- burn
- make album art [front cover, back cover, cd label, small booklet]
- advertise
- sell
when all that's done, i intend to post whatever art is involved online
and i'll obviously show a few preview tracks for anybody who might want to make an online order to receive mp3s directly to their emails
2) art-a-day: my promise to myself to do at least 1 traditional or digital piece everyday. unless something major comes up [ie: spend 16 hours in the studio and mixing and mastering] so thats probably every weekday. these pieces can either be really detailed ones [which i would do over more than just a day] or real quick studies / sketches etc that i finish in 1 day
let's hope i can stick to this
3) major 3d project: still trying to figure out what exactly to do, but i'm thinkin some game-res environment art
4) Spiffy Chaps will be back and better than ever [imho, hopefully in your eyes too]
5) Top Secret Awesome Project which will remain top secret and awesome for the time being
hopefully it will end awesomely by the end of summer, though thatd be 1 : 1000 chances lol
and that will be my summer break. that plus other stuff thats non-art related which doesn't need to be on dA

well spiffy chaps, though we have plans for it, went down on hold because we weren't entirely pleased with the direction it was taking. though much was discussed, exam season was too close to do much. and now, that being monday, is the last exam that 2 / 3 spiffy members have [and its calculus] so we've been pretty busy getting ourselves into university.
on a positive note: sometime this week there should be a fairly massive meeting and art binge that will bring SC back from its temporary grave

And phpBB3 is awesome, albeit a bit crazy. I can't get my local server running again and it really sucks because there's no reason for it not to work! Agh.
